Cholesterol the silent killer - September 1st, 2009
Cholesterol is one of those killers that is 100% preventable. There is no excuse for anyone to die from cholesterol. If you are close to that point or have been told you have high levels of LDL you have to turn your life around now. There are many drugs that will help you lower your LDL levels and help you get back into the normal range but if you don’t change the lifestyle why take those drugs. It is a total waste of time and money to take any of these drugs without changing the way you live.
It is as simple as getting off the couch and moving every day. The more the better and the better you will feel. Don’t go for the cheeseburgers go for a grilled chicken salad and fruit. It can only be as hard as you’re willing to make it. If you’ve got yourself convinced that you can’t do it you might as well buy the coffin now. You can do this millions of Americans have been where you are and changed it around you can to. Your family will thank you when you are around to be at your grandkids weddings just think of that each time you want to slip up.
Signs Of Cholesterol - September 1st, 2009
Cholesterol is a sneaky thing. Many times, people don’t know they’re dealing with high cholesterol until they experience a heart attack. I know several people who never dreamed they would have to deal with high cholesterol until they went in for a check up on a normal day. The news always comes as a surprise (or not for those who face hereditary traits).
Unfortunately, it’s almost impossible to detect symptoms of high cholesterol. You don’t face any pains or inconveniences – only the inconvenience of having to drive over to the hospital for a check up. But there are some measures you can take. Take a look at your lifestyle and what you eat. If this list starts to bring out a lot of ‘yes’s, you may want to go in for a check up.
- Do you eat out at restaurants or fast food chains?
- Do you eat a lot of cheese, cream cheese, or whole milk?
- Do you smoke?
- Do you not get enough exercise?
- Are you overweight?
- Do you eat a lot of fatty meat (ribs, fatty steaks, you know what i’m talking about meat lovers!)
- Have you checked your cholesterol levels recently?
Take preventive measures before it’s too late. Nothing can stop a heart attack, so attack it before it gets you.
